The Cubs did not play with an advance of a race this evening. Each starter recorded at least a blow, and seven of them were sure. Two of the three submarines who arrived late also obtained successes. Just a good old -fashioned outburst.
Huge nights for Seiya Suzuki and Kyle Tucker, each having been sure in total, including a circuit, and walked. I will give Seiya the advantage for the honors of the player of Ankin’s law “making him personal” of the game because of the three points scored and four points produced.
Jameson Taillon avoided the long ball for the most part this evening, and did an exceptional job by managing the contact (credit it or blaming the Marlins, but they certainly hit the ball the day before). He did not record a lot of puffs, but it was so effective that he crossed 7.0 sleeves in just 87 locations.
Thanks to this performance and the offensive explosion, the Cubs were able to finish the game using only Chris Flexen for these last two sleeves. A big day of rest for the enclosure of the lifts.
