I’m a very good gift giver and here are the 23 gifts I buy

I used to think of my gift for giving as a seasonal sixth sense. But birthdays, baby showers, bachelorette parties, anniversaries, etc. are fine. take place all year round. In fact, I have the most gift-related events, parties, and celebrations of the year. (I attribute this in part to the fact that people actually want to leave their homes now that the hibernation season is behind us.)

Below you’ll find my gift guide for her, which is especially timely given Mother’s Day, whatever that may be in your life. The products fall into three categories: things I have already given, things I will buy and give, and things I would like to receive myself.

The list is heavy on beauty products (I am, after all, a beauty editor) but there’s something for everyone; a Cosrx care package for the friend who swears snail mucin changed her life, an initial necklace on sale for the sister who is a pro at layering jewelry, a portable photo printer for the bachelorette party of the bride-to-be and an expensive laser hair removal device for the mother figure who deserves the world.

Merit Beauty Summer set

Deserved

If you really don’t know what to get someone, always go for Merit Beauty’s limited edition gift sets. The current seasonal offering is The Summer Set, a coveted four-piece kit, sure to sell out (it always does), perfect for easily glowing skin, perfect for long sunny days.

The kit includes the Great Skin Instant Glow Serum used by Sarah Jessica Parker, Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil (a personal favorite), Day Glow Illuminating Balm, and Bronze Balm Sheer Bronzer.

The makeup products are self-explanatory, but I’ll expand on the serum. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and caffeine, a combination that gives it its hydrating, brightening, soothing and pore-reducing properties. One 72-year-old shopper said it made them “look a little younger”.

Augustinus Bader The shampoo and conditioner duo

Augustin Bader

Augustinus Bader’s serum and cream are responsible for his first rise to fame. But now its hair care products are leading the pack, thanks to compelling celebrity accounts, happy reviews, and a fan base of beauty editors.

The shampoo and conditioner duo is an indulgent and luxurious treat (yet only $40). Both products are formulated with bamboo, maca root and the brand’s exclusive TFC8 technology. TFC8 is the much-vaunted piece de resistance; according to the brand, this helps the formula adapt to each person’s individual hair needs.

Medicube Age-R Booster Pro 6-in-1 LED Therapy Device

Amazon

I thought I’d tried every major skin care device on the market until a few months ago, when my esthetician recommended I replace the five devices I use with just one. very Korean high-tech choice; the Medicube Age-R Booster LED device.

I am grateful to have listened to her. Not only did I discover my new favorite skincare tool, but I also found a gift for the hardest-to-buy-for skincare obsessives of my life. It would take me a few weeks to fully explain the benefits of the Medicube device, so I will be brief.

LEDs, microcurrent, sonic vibration, electro muscle stimulation and electric needle therapy are all integrated into this small device; You switch between the four modalities with the press of a button. The most impressive detail, in my opinion, is that the device can be used with any serum; you don’t need to use separate conductive gels, making what you already have work better.
