
CHICAGO (WLS) — Two people were injured Monday morning in a three-car accident on I-55 on the southwest side of Chicago, Illinois State Police said.
The crash happened around 8:48 a.m. on the Stevenson Freeway at Central Avenue.
Police said a high-speed car struck another car, then took off and rolled over several times before hitting a third vehicle head-on.
Traffic in the northbound lanes of I-55 was diverted onto Harlem Avenue for several hours. All lanes on I-55 had reopened by 2:22 p.m., the ISP said.

Police said two people were taken to hospital with injuries. Further details were not immediately available.
