The Illinois State Fair is getting closer as summer approaches in Chicago, bringing some major headliners to the state — and fans can now buy their tickets at the box office.

The official Illinois State Fair box office opened at 8 a.m. Monday for ticket purchases.

The box office will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday prior to the event.

Those who prefer to purchase their tickets online can do so through Ticketmaster.

The star-studded lineup in the grandstand includes artists like Lil Wayne, Keith Urban, Mötley Crüe, The Jonas Brothers and more.

According to organizers, all in-person purchasers of grandstand tickets on June 3 will be entered into a drawing to win two pre-show tickets as part of a one-day offer available only Monday. Under a similar agreement, any in-person purchaser of Fairytales on Ice tickets will receive one admission ticket to the Illinois State Fair for each ice show purchased.

In addition to concert tickets, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets to arena events, including the Illinois State Fair Rodeo on August 10 and the Demolition Derby on August 17.

Mega Passes are available at a discounted price online and at the Emmerson Building for $80, with a Jumbo Pass including the giant slide costing $90.

The discounted prices are in effect until July 31, with prices increasing by $20 for both passes starting August 1.

Additionally, admission books offering 11 daily entries to this year’s Illinois State Fair are available for $45, with a seasonal parking pass available for $40.

The Illinois State Fair runs August 8-18 in Springfield, with many events and activities planned each day.
