A ballistic missile launched in Israel by the Houthis supported by Iran in Yemen was successfully intercepted by the air defense, said that the army said on Sunday, in what recently became an almost daily event.
The sirens had struck in the region of Jerusalem, the colonies in the south of the West Bank and the communities near the Dead Sea. Preceding the sirens of about five minutes, an early warning was issued to residents, alerting civilians in the long -range missile attack via a thrust notification on their phone.
There was no immediate report of injuries or damage. A piece of the missile landed in the region of hills in the south of Hebron in the West Bank.
It was the third attack in four days and the fifth since last Sunday.
Earlier this month, a Houthi missile slipped through the aerial defenses and hit the land of Ben Gurion airport, injuring six people, none of them seriously.
A multitude of international carriers have quickly interrupted services in Israel, although some have since declared that they will resume operations.

Israel responded to this attack with strikes at Sanaa airport, causing around $ 500 million in damage. On Saturday, some flights to Yemeni airport resumed.
The Israeli Air Force also struck the Hodeida and Salif ports controlled by Houthi in Yemen in response to the repeated attacks of the group supported by Iran against Israel. The Houthis have sworn to respond and have since continued their missile attacks against Israel.
The Houthis – whose slogan calls for “death to America, death to Israel (and) a curse on the Jews” – began to attack the traffic of Israel and the maritime general in November 2023, a month after the massacre of October 7.
The Houthis held their fire when a cease-fire was reached between Israel and Hamas in January 2025.
At this stage, they had drawn more than 40 ballistic missiles and dozens of attacks and cruise missiles in Israel, including one who killed a civilian and injured several others in Tel Aviv in July, which prompted Israel to the first strike in Yemen.
Since March 18, when the FDI have resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched 39 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones in Israel. Several of the missiles are stranded.
