Friday evening, the Israeli air defenses shot a drone launched from Yemen by the Houthi rebels supported by Iran.
An army statement on interception said the drone had been launched in Israel “from the East”.
The drone was killed in the Arava region in southern Israel. The sirens were not activated in any city.
The Houthis then took responsibility for the attack, claiming to have targeted a “military target” in the Tel Aviv region.
Since March 18, when the FDI have resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched at least 10 ballistic missiles in Israel.
On Friday, the Houthis also claimed to have shot down an American recognition drone on Yemen, where American forces have carried out major raids in recent weeks in response to the rebel group attacks against the Red Sea bride.
President Donald Trump published a video allegedly showing an American strike killing dozens of Houthi fighters, adding the comment “Oops”.
By resembling images taken from military drones or other blurring planes, the black and white images that Trump published on his social network of truth shows dozens of human figures from an almost vertical angle.
“These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack,” wrote Trump in a text that accompanies him.
These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack on these Houthis!
They will never pour our ships again!

Gathered in an oval loose along a road, the people of the video are superimposed on a reticle of camera with firearms. A few seconds, a brilliant flash appears in the middle of the scene, followed by swollen smoke.
The images are reduced to a wider shot showing a column of smoke on the apparent impact site and several vehicles parked higher on the road. The camera then approaches to show a large crater at the impact point. No body is easily identifiable.
“Oops, there will be no attack on these Houthis,” wrote Trump.
“They will never pour our ships again!”

The supporters of Houthi sing slogans during a weekly anti-American and anti-Israeli rally in Sanaa, Yemen, March 28, 2025.
The officials and the media belonging to the Houthis reported several deaths in dozens of strikes this week that they blamed in the United States.
The group attacked commercial and military expeditions in what it says is an answer to the Israel campaign in the Gaza Strip.
Washington said on Wednesday that it would send a second aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson, to join USS Harry S. Truman in the Middle East “to continue to promote regional stability, dissuade the aggression and protect the free movement of trade in the region”.
