Ice-T Reacts to Lenny Kravitz’s Single Revelation: “It’s Weird to Me”

Ice-T had a pretty strong reaction to Lenny Kravitz’s recent revelation that he’s practicing celibacy.

Just hours after Kravitz said in an interview published Thursday in The Guardian that he had abstained from sex outside of marriage and had not had a relationship in nine years, Ice-T n couldn’t help but intervene. The former rapper was visibly confused. .

“Hey….. If you’re a guy and can willingly go 9 years without sex… You’re following the wrong page,” the gangsta rap pioneer and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” actor wrote on X , formerly Twitter. , to virulent repression.

“But why judge him? It’s his choice,” one person responded, adding, “I don’t think it’s fair to assume there’s something wrong with him just because he chose to stay single for a long time.” I think many humans can and do abstain…for a variety of reasons.

Ice-T, who has been married to actor Coco Austin for 23 years, held his ground, however, responding bluntly: “Damn, it’s weird for me….I love fucking.” A lot.”

Rock star Kravitz, a four-time Grammy winner, married actress Lisa Bonet in 1987. Despite divorcing in 1993, they raised their daughter Zoë Kravitz together, whose fiancé, Channing Tatum, recently earned praise of the rocker for his “moving”.

The “Fly Away” singer explained in the interview that infidelity was a “curse” inherited from his father, Sy Kravitz, who not only cheated on his mother, but also told young Lenny that he would eventually do the same thing.

“He was right,” Kravitz told the newspaper. “After marriage, I became more like him. I became a player. I didn’t like it. I didn’t want to be that guy. So I had to tackle it and it took years… (and) take responsibility. Discipline. Not letting my own desires take over.

The singer first mentioned his abstinence in 2008 and told Maxim that he was “looking at the bigger picture” and waiting for someone with the right “spirit and spirit.” He later claimed that the story had been “exaggerated”, despite his later return to celibacy.

Even though he explained in Thursday’s interview that “it’s a spiritual thing” and although social media users tell Ice-T that Kravitz is on his own “journey,” the hip-hop icon hop wouldn’t have wanted it – and he told one user: “F this trip.”

It remains to be seen whether Kravitz knew about all this.
