Aaron Ramsey has admitted he doesn’t understand how his departure from Arsenal happened, saying he wants to stay in north London.
The Welsh midfielder joined the Gunners in 2008, spent 11 years with the club and made 371 appearances before joining Italian giants Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.
Ramsey has been offered £400,000-a-week to move to Turin, with many Arsenal fans unhappy the player chose to leave the club due to the significant pay rise on offer, but according to the Nice star , This was not the case.
Speaking to The Times, Ramsey explained: “It all happened . . . I accepted a contract that they offered.
“Things calmed down for a few weeks. I said to my agent, “Let’s do it”, then suddenly the contract was gone. So there was nothing to sign or agree to.
“It was a rough start for a few months with Unai.
“As the season went on I was playing more and I was playing really well. Then January came and I had to decide if I just keep going and see what happened or if I’m okay with something. go.

Ramsey added: “I decided to do this [move] because there was nothing on the table [from Arsenal].
“There have been a lot of changes with the arrival of the manager,” he says. “I don’t understand, I still don’t know exactly what happened.
“I have no bad words or bad feelings towards Arsenal.
“They are still a big part of my life and I always watch out for them and I’m really happy to see them so well. I have always loved Arsenal and that will never change.
