“I see no way to stop Trump”
Boston syndicated radio host Howie Carr has joined Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday and explained that he doesn’t think former President Donald Trump can be beaten for the Republican presidential nomination “at this point.”
Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle asked Carr for his views on the primary field — particularly in New England — in light of the past week, which saw Trump’s fourth arrest in the past five months and an unprecedented photo Thursday. A few days earlier, on Wednesday, his viral interview with Tucker Carlson had been published moments before the first Republican debate.

Carr, which hosts the Howie Carr Show on WRKO, told Boyle, “I don’t think it’s possible to stop Trump at this point. I mean, especially with so many people there are on the pitch, I mean, it’s just going to split it all up.

Though he says entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is “doing pretty well” in the primary and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has “some leeway,” he “sees no way to stop Trump unless anything unexpected happens at this point”.
He then asked Boyle for his analysis. Boyle noted that he thinks Trump is currently “on the right path to the nomination” and compared the atmosphere to 2016. Specifically, he noted that immigration was a major concern of voters he s is maintained. Of course, immigration was a central issue in the 2016 election and helped propel Trump into the White House.
Carr delved into the importance of the issue, especially as it develops in “off the border” states like Massachusetts, but stressed that “it’s something that’s once again under the radar and which is not covered much by the mainstream media”.
“These illegal aliens are being brought into states way, way away from the border, not just New York State, although that’s where, you know, there’s still a lot of attention, but like in the Massachusetts, for example, this week the state took over a hotel in Yarmouth on Cape Cod, kind of a somewhat working-class neighborhood — upper class as well — but mostly working-class neighborhood,” Carr said. they evicted all the US citizen tenants. They raised the rent from $300 to $700 a week. None of the tenants could afford it. They are all homeless, including an 89-year-old woman, and now they bring in illegal aliens for $700 a week. They took over the whole hotel. The Americans were kicked out.
Carr said the same situation happened in another Cape Cod town called Dennis where “some veterans were kicked out of their hotels, US citizens, veterans, kicked out because of illegal aliens” . Working-class towns such as Taunton, about 50 miles south of Boston, and Woburn, just north of Boston, are also feeling the pressure of illegal immigration, Carr said, while wealthy liberal towns, including one where Governor Maura Healey (Democrat) lives, are not.
“Taunton, Massachusetts, a working-class area with a Republican mayor and a Republican city council, there’s one hotel, 169 rooms, fully taken over by the state, signed a contract through 2029,” Carr added. “Not only do they bring in illegal aliens to fill every room, but they provide them with three meals a day, and it’s crazy. Woburn, another working-class community…I spoke to a woman the other day…she said, “We’re surrounded by these wealthy communities – Lexington, Arlington, where the Governor lives, Winchester – why don’t we have a mini METCO. program?’ but… all these illegal aliens, mostly Haitians, are going to be thrown into the school system of Woburn, a working-class town.
“High-end communities have no interest,” Carr pointed out. “You know, they say, ‘Hate has no place here’, on street signs, but they have no interest in integrating them into their school systems. Governor and Lieutenant Governor [Kim Driscoll (D)] “Can all wealthy liberals welcome illegal aliens into their homes?” I can’t tell you…of course, there’s no answer. It’s NIMBY. It’s like Martha’s Vineyard when DeSantis sent the plane out last spring. And I think people are abuzz about it as well, not just in Massachusetts and New York… It’s also in Ohio. It’s in all of these states.
