Niemann had filed a federal complaint of $ 100 million against Carlsen as well as Nakamura and the Chess.com website after being accused of having cheated in his victory on Carlsen at La Sinquefield Cup.
The 21-year-old American admitted to having cheated in online games earlier in his life at the age of 12 and 16, but insisted that he had never done it above the table.
Niemann then agreed to settle the dispute with Carlsen and the other parties in August 2023, a few months after a US judge rejected his pursuit.
Niemann, however, renewed hostilities with Carlsen recently after the latter found himself involved in a bitter quarrel with Fide – due to his controversial acts in the rapid world championships and Blitz in New York as well as for the promotion of the Grand Chelem Freestyle tour for the spending of the world government organization.
“Arrigant, titled, ignorant and above all: loose. Your childish ego continues to distort reality to the detriment of failures. You won the board of directors, only a matter of time until you make the same fate on the board of directors, “Niemann wrote on X in response to a Carlsen post who had targeted the president of Fide Arkady Dvorkovich.
