I paid $ 754 to switch to business class on Long Flight; It’s worth it

• I spent $ 754 to switch to business class on an Amsterdam flight in Tokyo.

I am so foreign to theft – last year, I traveled in 26 countries and four continents. However, after six months of travel, I feared my flight of almost 10 hours from Amsterdam to Tokyo.

However, when I recorded my KLM flight, I was pleasantly surprised by an offer of $ 754 to go to business class.

At first, it almost seemed to consider the upgrade, because I was so used to the budget. However, it turned out to be the best decision I made.

This is what my commercial class experience looked like.

The advantages have started even before my boarding on the plane

Going in business class, I had access to the KLM Crown Lounge in Amsterdam.

Since it was the first time that I have felt an airport show, I made sure to stop to enjoy the buffet goodies at will.

For the first time in my life, I was actually delighted to spend time at the airport.

The boarding process was transparent

After loading an assortment of chocolate and ice cream, I walked to my door and I was in the first group to embark.

When I arrived at my headquarters, there was a mini memory foam pillow and a cosmetics case filled with toothpaste, a mask for the eyes, a blanket, socks, a hand cream and slippers.

I sat in my spacious seat and tried to contain my excitement. Before takeoff, I was offered the possibility of sparkling wine or a mimosa. A few glasses of bubbles later, I felt quite relaxed for the flight.

The food I had was quite incredible

Until I experience it for myself, I never realized how better the food class food is. When I was flying to the coach, I used to have two choices for dinner and one for breakfast – simple meals at best.

This time, however, I had three dinner options to choose. I chose the meal focused on the three dishes focused on meat, which started with a bowl of tomatoes, bread and a salad.

Then I had a chicken and pastantréeAnd for dessert, I appreciated a sundae of ice cream. However, my favorite part of the service was the large two -page wine menu.

I was shocked to see how many good wines were offered on the flight. After all, I was used to the generic options offered in Coach. I also loved that the wine was unlimited during the flight.

I slept a lot during the flight

After eating my delicious three -dishes meal, it was time to relax.

To be honest, I was so excited to discover the amenities of the business class that I hardly wanted to fall asleep. As a leaflet subject to anxiety, it was enormous. I was actually having fun on a flight.

Once I started to feel sleepy, I tilted my seat on the bed adjustment. With comfortable cushion padding everywhere, I fell straight on sleep.

Seven hours later, I woke up while feeling refreshed. As a person who usually falls into and out of sleep in coach, I felt like a new person with seven hours of sleep behind me.

Upgrading the business class of $ 754 was worth every penny

For me, this $ 754 upgrade was invaluable. I was able to have a good night’s sleep and I had an incredible and luxurious experience. Honestly, my only problem was to go back to the coach for future flights.

Since then, I have taken four international flights and I stole a business class for three of them using upgrades.

Although my flight style has gone from the budget to luxury, I can honestly say that I would not exchange the experience of money any day.

When I met my friends in Tokyo, I was able to explore right away, without nap. Looking at this experience, I can safely say that sometimes money can buy happiness – or at least a good night’s sleep.
