Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are back to crime. The icons of the 90s – and the stars of “I know what you did last summer” – returned to the trailer soaked in blood from the Slasher of 1997.
Now the hook fisherman has found a new generation to torture. The participants of Cinemacon had the very first overview of “I Know What You Do You Do You Do You Last Summer”, which opens as a perfect young couple (depicted by the new arrivals of the Madelyn Cline and Joshua Orpin franchise) benefits from a night of personal care – including a soothing bubble bath and a noise of noise. However, all this rest and this relaxation takes a deadly turn while a masked killer enters the premises.
The continuation follows five friends who inadvertently cause a fatal car accident and cover their involvement, making a pact to keep it secret rather than facing the consequences. A year later, their past returns to haunt them and they are forced to confront the reality that someone, in fact, knows what they did last summer. And this person is determined to take revenge.
Of course, this seaside city is not unrelated to such slaughter and blood effusions. As they are one by a hunted by the slasher, friends discover that this has happened before – and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport massacre from 1997 to obtain help.
“This is not the first time that there has been violence like this in Southport,” Prinze told a crowded courthouse in the trailer, which is not yet available to the public. Later in the images, Hewitt asks young people: “I just have a question … What did you do last summer?”
In the original “I know what you did last summer”, four teenagers from a small seaside town are hunted down – one at a time – by a hook killer a year after covering a car accident that would be fatal. The film became a success at the box office with $ 125 million worldwide and caused the 1998 sequel to the 1998 “I SOWN Know What You did last summer” with Hewitt and Prinze JR. As for the franchise “I know what you did”, there was also the direct television series “I always know”.
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (“Thor: Love and Thunder”, “Do Revenge”, “Someone Great”, directed the film from a script that she co-written with Sam Lansky. Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King and Chase Su Wonders are rounding the Casters. “
