A few days after the end of a “lie detector” test, the controversial American chess master Hans Niemann turned around on Friday, confirming that the polygraphic test was now planned. Niemann, who was accused of having cheated by Magnus Carlsen, was to pass the test after losing against the Grand Master Russian Daniil Dubov in a blitz match of 18 games held in Moscow, Russia.

One of the conditions of the match was that the loser should answer a question in polygraph tests. Niemann lost the match with a score of 9.5-8.5.

Niemann turns around after declining from the “lie detector” test

However, the 21 -year -old recently declared on his YouTube channel that he would not pass the test because Dubov was disrespectful and behaved “like a child”.

“I do not intend to give someone like Dubov, who behaved like a child, the honor of asking me a question about the lie detector, who is pure pseudo-science, when I have nothing to prove,” said Niemann.

“Despite all the things that have been done to me, I continued to play. I don’t have anything left.

Niemann also said that Dubov wanted the test to take place in Dubai and that he was not interested in organizing this. “I’m not going to pay for a whole trip and put Dubov in a beautiful hotel just for that.”

However, later in a post on X, Niemann suggested that the “lie” test could take place in a “neutral adjustment”.

“My rejection of the polygraphic conditions of Dubov was with regard to his request to do so in Dubai and for me to cover the costs. It should not be forgotten that he left without handshake and called the match a clown show when it is released. It must be done in a neutral setting, I explore …”, he wrote on X.

Niemann went to X on Thursday and confirmed that the polygraphic test was planned and that he will “keep” his word. Niemann’s U-turn came after Chess.com made a story about him.

“I plan the polygraph and I see the new article in the failure of the mafia saying that I fell. I have just planned the polygraph and I hold my word. My objections were towards the behavior of Dubov and the logistical requests. Please correct the article immediately,” said Niemann on X.

Dubov, on the other hand, has already revealed that he intended to question Niemann on the chess cheating scandal in 2022.
