In a craft store in Lahore, I looked for the same original hand lamp as Isabella, a scientist “with a spark of curiosity”.
Sitting in my office in Singapore – not on a K -Drama scene, or in Pakistan – I played the new Tinder game to practice my charm.
Called the game Game, this new feature integrated into the application uses AI tech technology to create “exaggerated and meeting dating scenarios,” Tinder said in a statement on Monday.
Users are trying to flirt their way to an appointment, while AI provides for the comments in real time and assessed their game. I used my publisher’s American phone in a private room so that my colleagues did not hear me in Isabella.
Flirt victories have earned me points with labels like “Delicious”, “Charming” and “Victoire”. Accumulate enough, and this will guarantee you a date with AI.
I was given about five minutes to flirt in each scenario. And I had 10 scenarios with which to play in the free account.
The game is fueled by the OPENAI GPT-4O and GPT-4O, and Tinder says that your clumsy collection lines will not be used to form AI models. It is only available for iOS users in the United States for a limited period.
A spokesperson for Tinder’s parent company, Match Group, said that the company uses the game “to learn and explore what future deployments could look like on other markets”.
The game is coming while the match is in trouble with lower user numbers. The new CEO of the company said that he wanted to bring accent to users.
“This project has given us a chance to experiment with how AI can make meetings a little more fun and a little less intimidating,” said Alex Osborne, principal director of match innovation.
The match action fell by 10.8% in the past year, while Rival Bumble is down 61%.
My first scenario was labeled “easy” and I brought my usual self to the script.
Isabella started hard, asking me what brought me here. I complimented the lamp and said I liked crafts. I asked her what her favorite article was in the store, and she embarked on a monologue on a carpet woven by hand.
Without visual, it was difficult to tell. And she looked robotic.
Hoping to direct flirting, I asked what she liked elsewhere. She listed pottery, then asked me if I was in it. I said yes – picked his wisdom generated by the joy of surrounding you with things you do with your own hands.
I took my photo: “What do you like to do with your hands?” (Cringing teeth.)
His answer: Personalized laboratory notebooks and molecular DIY models. Hot.
I pretended, the conversation has failed and I did not leave a date. Tinder has tense some generic flirting tips for me, as “ask more about his favorite job.” Thank you, Ai Wingman.

Then, a gunshot in Romance with Jackson, a photographer during a animated party. We made the grill together – privileged flirting conditions, and I composed it.
When Jackson suggested a “nice and sweet tea to refresh myself”, I looked: “I never tried it … But I want someone to cool me.”
“Well, now, a glass of sweet tea is perfect,” he said. (Dodge. But Tinder assigned me points.)
So I increased the bet. When he asked questions about the challenges I faced, I dropped: “Not being able to keep your eyes.”
His reaction? “Well, now it’s really a bit of you to tell you.” Then he suggested finding a comfortable place to discuss.
If a real person said that, she would be deeply in me or deeply uncomfortable. But Tinder? He kept distributing points – until I know a date.
So, the lesson? Be daring, be attractive, and apparently, AI will not call you too much.

Finally, I was lining up in a catering truck in Venice. Paisley, an architect, started a conversation with me on culinary adventures.
This time, I was the human equivalent of dry toast.
Paisley has launched things, delirious on a truffle pastry – “a masterpiece”.
Me? “I have never tried it.”
She asked what kitchen I loved. I hit it with the dullest answer possible: “chicken”.
Paisley Cirped: “”Versatile and always delicious! “(In real life, that’s where I would be a ghost.)
However, she continued. “Have you tried Indian or Thai chicken dishes?”
“No.”
She tried again. “Do you like to explore new recipes?”
“I don’t cook.”
At this point, I was sure she would abandon. But no: “Places a little food adventure! What do you think?”
“…All right.”
No surprise – I did not score a date. But Paisley’s enthusiasm never hesitated. No matter how boring I am, she was locked up.

Tinder AI could manage Flirty, but he refuses to recognize the energy of the flop.
Overall, I couldn’t take this game seriously.
