- I bought a mouse cushion in TEMU for $ 2.74.
- He started to ooze freezing after a few weeks.
- Please don’t laugh at me. I suffered enough!
I have important news: I recently bought an article from TEMU which turned out to be of poor quality. I know, I know. You are not shocked. In fact, you are probably getting angry at the moment that I even say that and that this article exists, taking up space on the Internet and ultimately, as words to return training on AI models.
But here we are. And it’s important, I tell you.
About a month ago, I noticed that the mouse cushion of my office was starting to wear out. I got it from Amazon two or three years ago, and the fabric blanket started to withdraw from the base. Finally, Gel Goo began to ooze.

I planned to buy an identical replacement on Amazon – which was around $ 14 – but I then decided to check Temu, the Chinese electronic commerce site. TEMU offered what seemed to be a similar mouse pad for much less: $ 2.74. Perfect, I thought. Sold!
The time of my purchase turned out to be loaded. I placed the order only a few days before President Donald Trump temporarily closes the “minimis” exemption – the policy which allows the franchise shipment of rights to goods of less than $ 80 coming directly from China, in this case.
For a few days, I did not know if my order would treat or if I had to pay additional costs.
Fortunately for me, the mouse cushion ended up arriving on time without hassle or additional payment required.
A mouse pad of $ 2.74: what could be wrong? Temp
The mouse pad was a little disappointed from the start. It was smaller than what I expected – about 2 inches narrower than my previous pad. Of course, the dimensions were on the list of products, but I had not examined them closely. The fabric blanket was also more rough breathtaking that the old one.
But whatever. He did the job. I threw the old mouse cushion and started using the new one.
Then, about a week ago, I started to increase resentment towards the mouse cushion. I felt cheated and cheated. I went crazy enough to write a product criticism on TEMU, with a photo, warning the people he was small and rough. TEMU did not immediately return my request for comments.
Wednesday, my Avare Karma returned to bite me. The fabric separated from the base of the mouse cushion, exposing the oozing gel inside. It is the same thing that happened with my last mouse cushion, but instead of taking two years to explode, it lasted two weeks.
TEMU has a generous return policy, and I was able to obtain a full refund in a few clicks – without having to send an email to customer service or to send the defective element.
Here is where the only person to blame is myself. The frost started to flee Wednesday. And even if I went so far as to order a stamp of Amazon replacement mouse, I did not throw the Tamu mouse stamp.
Instead, I continued to use it Thursday – to ooze and everything.

Until I saw that the Goo gel had spread out on my desk, and even on the round of my sweatshirt. Goo was smooth and difficult to wipe my office (he even feels a little sticky). The fate of the sweatshirt – an old man whom I obtained as a free corporate logo swag years ago which probably reached retirement age – is in the air. Hopefully TEMU GOO is coming out in washing.
Honestly, I deserve this. I really, Really deserve this. I have no one to blame here – not Temu, not Trump, not God – but myself.
Anyway, what have we learned here? Well, “learning” is a funny term, right? I knew That a tampon of $ 2.74 mouse mouse could be of lower quality than that more expensive. A few more dollars to something that I use every day seems to be a reasonable and intelligent investment.
So, will I stop buying cheap reduction stuff from China just to save a few dollars? No, no I won’t do it. Sometimes, despite the lessons I learn in my head, I am always my heart. And my heart wants inexpensive consumer goods.
