HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Transit offers music lovers a safe and convenient way to get from downtown to the Orion Amphitheater for three nights of Billy Strings concerts October 23-25.
City officials told News 19 the Orion Express will run every 15 minutes from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and return passengers to their destination from 9 p.m. until an hour after the event ends.

- Lumber yard parking lot (Cleveland Avenue/Meridian Street)
- Garage D (Lincoln Street)
- 106 Jefferson Hotel (Jefferson Street)
- Embassy Suites, AC Hotel and Hampton Inn & Suites (Monroe Street)
Round-trip tickets cost $6 per person; seniors and people with disabilities can travel for $3.
“It is extremely beneficial to be able to get to and from the Orion without having to worry about finding parking or waiting in traffic after the show is over,” said Quisha Bryant, director of the Huntsville Department of Parking and Public Transportation. “We are excited to offer this option to residents and visitors who are fans of Billy Strings.”
Tickets can be purchased here, new users will need to create an account then verify their information. Once done, you need to click on “Buy Passes” and select “Adult” in the “Passenger” section. Users then need to click on the “Orion Express to Billy Strings Concert” option to purchase the ticket.
Additionally, you can also choose to go the old-fashioned way by dropping $6 into the fare box when boarding; however, no changes will be available.
This three-day concert is part of Strings’ extensive fall 2025 tour, which includes international dates across Europe and the UK. Strings knows Huntsville, having performed at the Orion Amphitheater in 2023 and 2024.
According to the Orion Amphitheater website, the three-day concert is now sold out.
