The Huntington Beach baseball team did not suffer its second defeat of the season Friday in the semi-final of the National High School Invitational in Cary, NC
The Oilers (14-2) lost 3-2 against the Trinity Christian Academy of Florida, their first defeat since the fall of Mirada in Boras Classic on March 26.
The signatory of the state of Oregon, Tyler Belerose, only granted one -deserved race in 6⅔ sleeves. Trent Grindlinger and Ethan Porter had each double and a point produced.
Huntington Beach had to play his compatriot of the South Corona section team in a consolation match on Saturday, but the two teams chose not to play. The Oilers will face Edwardsville from Indiana on Saturday before returning home to start a series of three games against Los Alamitos.
In the Trinity League:
Orange Lutheran 6, Jserra 0: Orange Lutheran finished a jerra three game scan with combined Sam Principle bleaching and Caden Miller.
The throws (14-4, 3-3) have swept JSERRA for the first time since 2019.
Principle only granted two strokes in 5⅓ heats to win the victory. None of the two throwers for throws recorded a removal in the stick, but combined to allow only three strokes.
The Signatory of Texas A & M Josiah Hartshorn had a double and a product point, just like Noah Haros.
Otto Graham managed seven stick withdraws in four rounds at once for Jserra (7-9, 2-4). Braydon Boop and Shane d’Arcy each double blow.
In the CrestView League:
Villa Park 5, Cypress 3: Dominic Gutierrez struck a big slam in sixth round to lead Villa Park (14-5, 3-3) to a large victory over Cypress.
Logan Hoppie obtained the relief victory for the Spartans with five stick withdrawals in four sleeves without cut. The signatory of Pepperdine Shawn Romero went 4 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI.
Tate Belfanti launched four laundry rounds for Cypress (12-9, 4-2) with six stick withdrawals. Connor Artasere went 2 for 4 with a double, a stolen base and two products produced.
El Dorado 6, Foothill 1: Jacob Alvarez granted only one point in six rounds with four stick withdrawals for El Dorado (16-5, 3-3).
Aiden McNauughton went 2 for 3 with two products produced for the Golden Hawks. Brady Abner and Logan Steenburgen each obtained 2 for 4 with a product point.
Everett RYCROFT and AIDAN COLBurn each had two strokes for FOOT (15-6, 4-2).
In the highway league:
Pacifica 6, Canyon 4: Pacifica scored two points in three consecutive rounds in a home victory against Canyon.
Jensen Kinkade launched 2⅓ goalless relief sleeves to win the victory and succeeded in three stick withdrawals. Joshua Pearman had a stolen double base and a point produced for Pacifica (6-14, 1-5) and Ryan Greenberg added two strokes.
Jonathan Sandoval and Matt Froment each had three strokes for Canyon (13-6, 5-1). Lorenzo Luevano had a simple and a product point.
Yorba Linda 10, Crean Lutheran 0: Troy Radomski and Drew Party have combined for a laundering for Yorba Linda (7-13, 1-3) despite the authorization of 11 Baserunners.
Thomas Kutson went 2 for 2 with two stolen bases and three points produced for the Mustangs. Nathan Schneider had two strokes with a product point and Joshua Garza led in two points.
In the Sea View League:
Mission Viejo 8, El Toro 5: Jack Boucher had two strokes, including one double and three points produced for the Diablos in a victory against El Toro.
Max Osika went 2 for 3 with two products produced and a stolen base for mission Viejo (11-10, 3-3). Carson Browning had two strokes with a product point and Jacob Powley ride in a race.
Logan Merwin led in two points for El Toro (11-9, 5-4) and Jack McKelvy went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
In the Sunset League:
Edison 2, Marina 0: Shane Timmons launched a bleaching of four strokes with eight stick withdrawals for Edison (11-10, 4-8).
Gavin Johnson had a double and a point produced for loaders.
Tate Morris did not grant any deserved race in five rounds with only two strokes and eight sticks to the stick for Marina (9-10, 2-7). Jack Pollock had a double for the Vikings.
Corona del March 8, Los Alamitos 6: Corona Del Mar made a sequence of eight consecutive defeats with a victory on the road against Los Alamitos.
Charlie Kaster succeeded three strokes with a stolen base and a point produced for Corona del Mar (8-12, 2-10). Dylan O’Kelly had a double with an RBI. Stevie Jones won the victory on the mound and rolled in two points.
Nate Walker struck a home run for Los Alamitos (15-4-2, 8-4) and Tyler Smith led in two points.
In the Empire League:
Fullerton 10, Ocean View 5: Fullerton managed 15 shots in a victory on Ocean View.
Mason Park went 3 for 3 with a double, two stolen bases and a product point for Fullerton (13-5-1, 3-0). Sammy Chacon went 4 for 4 with an RBI and Malachi Meni rolled in two points.
Luke Gordon had a double with two products produced for Ocean View (9-11, 5-4) and Jackson Arredondo managed two strokes.
Laguna Hills 6, Calvary Chapel 4: Laguna Hills scored five points in the fourth round in a victory on the road.
Kyler Fitzpatrick managed three strokes for Laguna Hills (11-8, 3-4) and Nate Medina struck a double with a product point. Michael Gould and Noe Garcia have each rolled in races for the Hawks and the enclosure of the lifts launched three laundry sleeves.
Ben Steele managed eight sticks to the stick in six rounds for the Calvary chapel (8-12-1, 1-5-1). Brody Beck had two strokes and Kaden Cox stole a base and rolled in a race.
In the North Hills League:
Sonora 5, Sunny Hills 1: Caleb Orr launched a full match with nine stick withdrawals for Sonora.
Anthony Abad had a double, a triple, three stolen bases and a point produced for Sonora (11-6, 4-1). Tanner Hunnicut led in two points.
Andre Katayama launched five rounds for Sunny Hills (3-15, 1-5) and had two strokes. Oliver Botch added a triple and marked a race.
Brea Olinda 4, Esperanza 0: Nicholas Rodriguez launched a bleaching with six strokes and a removal of the stick for Brea Olinda.
Hayden Gonzales struck a double with a RBI and Hudson Sims had a triple and a point produced for Brea (11-6, 5-1).

Garden Grove 2, Valence 1: Garden Grove accomplished the rare feat to win a match without getting a blow.
Rohan Ramos launched a full match for Garden Grove (12-6, 5-1) with two strokes and nine stick withdrawals. Sebastian Vallejo rolled up in a race.
Dean Nielsen launched six sleeves without cutting for Valence (5-11, 2-5) with seven goals on balls and three stick withdrawals.
In The Pacific Coast League:
Northwood 11, Portola 1: Northwood had four players have multi-cut and multi-RBI games in a Portola rout.
Kai Tsuneshige and Ethan Tsou each had double and two points produced. Paul Grossman made three shots with a double, a stolen base and two products produced. Carter Liu launched 4 laundry rounds with six stick withdrawal for Northwood (7-12-1, 3-4).
Eli Serrano made two strokes with a point produced for Portola (7-11, 5-3).
Sage Hill 4, University 0: Jad Rigley launched a laundering of two strokes with six stick withdraws for Sage Hill (5-7, 2-6).
Jared Stroner had a simple and an RBI and Oliver Cheng led in two points.
In the Golden West League:
Kennedy 4, Katella 1: Anthony Hernandez launched a full match with four stick withdrawals for Kennedy.
Hernandez also went 1 for 3 with a stolen base and a race. Jonathan Arreola went 2 for 4 and scored a race and Travis Bergmann had a point produced for Kennedy (12-9, 3-3).
Hector Perez struck a Home Run solo for Katella (13-4, 2-2).
In the Grove League:
Loara 15, Rancho Alamitos 8: Traivon Nicholson managed 11 stick withdrawals in five rounds for Loara and had a big match offensively.
Nicholson went 3 for 4 with two stolen bases and a product point. Robert Webster went 2 for 4 with a home run and four products produced for Loara (11-2, 8-0). Carter Smith struck two doubles with two products produced.
Matthew Arguelles went 3 for 4 with a double and three products produced for Rancho Alamitos (7-8, 2-6) and Carson Labossière went 2 for 4 with a double and two products produced.
In the San Joaquin League:
Avalon 15, Fairmont Prep 11: Fairmont Prep had 15 stolen bases in a loss with a strong score against Avalon.
Brandon Kim went 2 for 2 with two doubles and four stolen bases for Fairmont Prep (0-3, 0-3). Ryan Lee succeeded two strokes with three stolen bases and Ethan Li had a double, a stolen base and two products produced.
