A doctor currently on trial after the death of the Argentine football icon Diego Maradona won a bodybuilding event in the South American country.
Leopoldo Luque was the neurosurgeon of Maradona before his death at the age of 60 in 2020 and is one of the seven members of medical staff facing homicide accusations in the midst of medical neglect allegations.
Maradona underwent a deadly cardiac crisis at home in November of the same year, just two weeks after her release from the hospital after surgery for bleeding on her brain.
Two months after the start of the trial in Buenos Aires, Luque participated in the Physical Hard Hard Rock Championship sanctioned by the National Argentinian Bodybuilding Committee.
