Hundreds enjoy Berkeley Bay festival

The City of Berkeley presented the Berkeley Bay Festival at Shorebird Park at the Berkeley Marina on Saturday.

The perfectly sunny spring weather and location attracted hundreds of visitors to the free family event to celebrate the local wildlife of the San Francisco Bay. It featured dozens of exhibits and hands-on educational activities hosted by environmental and wildlife conservation organizations from across the Bay, live music from Purple Fox and the Heebie Jeebies, the West Grand Brass Band, by Pan Extasy and a performance by the Prescott Circus Theater as festival-goers. watch the colorful and lively shows from the lawn while having a picnic or enjoying the food trucks.

Visitors also got a close look at aquatic animals on display in a 1,500-gallon tank as part of the Mobile Fish exhibit hosted by the East Bay Regional Parks District, which was one of the main attractions at the event.

Additionally, the Cal Sailing Club, which is hosting an open house, offered visitors free 20-minute boat rides.
