ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) – Human remains found last week in Ellsworth have been officially identified.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says the remains are those of Anson Snowdeal, 43, of Sullivan.
Snowdeal was last seen in February last year after leaving a family member’s apartment.
In April of last year, state police announced that Snowdeal was under criminal investigation and had a warrant out for his arrest.
Police say evidence indicates Snowdeal avoided detection and disappeared on purpose.
The cause and manner of death are still under investigation, but it does not appear suspicious.
