Gilbert Arenas’ son Alijah came out of his coma and showed “important signs of progress” after a major car accident launched his Tesla Cybertruck.
The 18 -year -old rising basketball star was placed in a coma induced on Thursday, but his family provided an extremely positive update the next day.
In a shared press release Charania d’Espn d’Espn, his family said that he remained intubated after his health had progressed in recent 24 hours.
“Although it remains intubated, these progress mark a critical step in its recovery,” the statement said.
“His mother, the father of Laura Govan, Gilbert Arenas, his brothers and sisters and his family, were by his side at each stage of the path, holding faith and drawing the strength of prayers and love that flocks from the whole world.”
As relayed in the press release, one of the good Samaritans who saved Alijah from the car on fire said that she had heard “hitting the car window, but I saw nothing because the smoke was so thick.

“It was then that I realized that someone was inside. I tried to break the window, but it wouldn’t give. Then I saw that one of the windows had been cracked just enough and we used everything we had to fold and remove it. The car was on fire. We just knew we had to take him out.
“This act of courage, with Alijah’s incredible desire to survive, was simply miraculous,” said Alijah’s family. “The family continues to request prayers and public support while their baby miracle turns to a complete recovery.
“They remain deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by his medical team and love and overwhelming encouragement of the community.
Alijah’s family said he had opened their eyes and wrote on a piece of paper: “Anyone injured?” The accident was a one -car collision.
The accident left the teenager lying on the ground in a puddle after his vehicle channels on a fire mouth.
