HP Color LaserJet Pro 3303 Review: Perfect for home-office setups

Finding a printer that balances quality, efficiency, and cost can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Enter the HP Color LaserJet Pro 3303sdw — a printer that promises to be the Swiss Army knife of your home-office needs. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive in and find out.

One thing that struck me was the output’s consistency and accuracy — text documents are razor-sharp, with each letter looking like it was carefully etched onto the page.

But it’s with colour prints that this LaserJet really flexes its muscles. From subtle gradients in photographs to bold graphics in presentations, the 3303sdw reproduces colours with high fidelity.

Print speed is another crucial aspect to factor in when you’re in the market for a printer. The 3303sdw seems to have a need for speed — it churns out up to 22 pages per minute for black-and-white, and 18 pages for colour.

While testing, I had the printer reproduce a 50-page document. In what seemed like no time, there was a stack neatly printed and waiting in the output tray.

These days, connectivity is the name of the game in the printing segment. Gone are the days when printers had to be physically wired to your computer. For the past few years, Wi-Fi printers have been all the rage, and the 3303sdw does not disappoint on tha front.

The Wi-Fi connectivity is reliable and I never saw the connection drop while sending a print command — be it from my smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The 3303sdw kicks it up a notch with its cloud printing support. You don’t even have to be in Wi-Fi range anymore. Just send the document to the cloud via the app, and, as long as your printer is online, it will get the job done.

Another box the 3303sdw ticks is in the user-interface department. I remember my first — and probably the last — personal printer. The setup was more complicated a Stanley Kubrick film and, of course, it was plagued by reliability issues.

With the 3303sdw, the setup process was seamless. The touchscreen interface is intuitive, making navigating through settings a breeze. Even mundane tasks like changing the toner or clearing paper jams (which, I’m happy to report, have been rare) are now straightforward. The software is clean, user-friendly, and offers a level of control that will satisfy both casual users and those who like to fine-tune every aspect of their prints.

The Verdict

The Color LaserJet Pro 3303sdw is a standout in the home office printer market. It strikes an impressive balance between print quality, speed, and ease of use.

Is it perfect? Not quite — it’s a bit on the bulky side, so those with limited desk space might need to do some reorganising, if not choose another option. And while it’s cost-effective in the long run, the initial price tag of ₹59,999 might be a sticking point for home users. That said, the HP Color LaserJet Pro 3303sdw deserves a spot on your shortlist.
