How to choose the best seat on the plane

Best seat, best trip

So you have survived your travel planning group cat, and you are ready to book your trip for this essential summer vacation. I mean, come on, you deserve it.

But where do you sit exactly on the plane to make sure your trip is going to the best start? If you do not choose judiciously, you can reject your entire getaway.

The writer contributing Kelly Magyarics steals at least once a week (phew!) And has mastered the art of choosing the right seat to maximize his comfort.

When she travels in the economy, Magyarics says she prefers to sit “in the seat of the aisle in the spacious outing line”. This seat generally offers more legs for passenger legs, but don’t forget that you should help yourself in an emergency.

“I am also known to select seats in the row of partition which is directly behind a wall, a curtain or a screen because they are often delivered with an additional leg room,” writes Magyarics.

Although this means to abandon any storage space in front of you, Magyarics suggests getting on the plane early to make sure you get space in an air compartment. These flight features may require additional costs, but this could be worth it.

If you are not ready to spend more, the BI travel journalist, Monica Humphries, prefers the back of the plane for long-haul flights because she found that it was her “better chance of obtaining accessible air storage”.

“Another advantage of the rear of the plane is access to the kitchen. For long-haul flights, I stretch my legs every few hours,” she wrote. “It helps my body adapt to the cramped districts and prevents me from feeling a claustrophobic.”

Hack your hydration

Staying hydrated is the key to your mental and physical performance. Matt Jones, a sports nutritionist who works with elite athletes, shared five tips to optimize daily water consumption.

For example, timing is important. It is useful to consume 80% of your daily water intake before 4 p.m., so your body has enough time to treat it before bedtime. Coffee, fruit and tea can also help you keep hydrated.
