How Taylor Swift Referenced Travis Kelce During Her Eras Tour in Dublin

Travis Kelce is a priority for Taylor Swift as she launches into her Tour of the eras stop in Dublin, Ireland.

The 34-year-old singer was performing “Midnight Rain” Friday night at Aviva Stadium when she insistently struck Kelce’s archer pose, prompting a roar of approval. As everyone knows, Kelce is famous for strikes that pose just before running onto the field with the rest of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.

Yes, Swift has used the same pose in the past when she sang “The Archer,” which she removed from her setlist in May to make way for new songs from her latest album, The Department of Tortured Poets.

That didn’t stop her from striking an archer pose last week at London’s Wembley Stadium as she performed “So High School” for Kelce and friends. The song, which features on Swift’s surprise double album, The Department of Tortured Poets: The AnthologyEast they say it is about the three-time Super Bowl champion.

But the archer’s pose wasn’t the only reference to Kelce on Friday night in Dublin. According to Page sixSwift also re-wore her Tiffany & Co. diamond wire ringwhich features the couple’s initials studded with diamonds.

Swift is performing in Dublin all weekend before enjoying a few days off and returning next week in Amsterdam.

Ahead of her performance in Dublin, Swift shared the pretty note and the bouquet flowers U2 Swift reacted on her Instagram Story, saying, “I’m already feeling the Irish hospitality” and thanked the legendary Irish rock band “for always being the classiest and coolest.”

The note read: “Dear Taylor, welcome to our hometown… leave some standing?!!!! Your Irish fan club.” The note was signed by the band’s frontman Goodguitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr.

And speaking of exceptional hospitality, the Dublin Traffic Police Department (at the the british army) got in on the action by performing “Shake It Off,” which attracted a large crowd in the streets of Dublin.

But that’s not all. The city has created a huge billboard on a Dublin beach to welcome the Midnights singer. According to a local radio station, the giant sign “Ireland (Taylor version)” “was the size of two Olympic swimming pools.”

By the way, for anyone wondering why Kelce strikes his archer pose before running for every game, the NFL star explained it in October on his Twitter account. New heights podcast.

“I do the archer pose when I enter the stadium because I wanted to do something when I come out of the tunnel,” he said. “What really motivated me was dreaming big, always reaching for the stars. So, I’m always here to reach for the stars.”

And he dreamed big.

What started as a failed attempt to give him a friendship bracelet resulted in the creation of the most famous couple in the world.
