Well, it seems terribly familiar.
For the second consecutive season, the New York Knicks by Jalen Brunson and the Indiana Pacers of Tyrese Haliburton meet in the playoffs.
From Wednesday, May 21, the two clubs will compete in the final of the Eastern Conference, which means that a team will qualify for the NBA final while the other returns home.
Add the intrigue that none of the two teams was at the big dance in at least 25 years – the last appearance of the Knicks in the final was in 1999 where Patrick Ewing and Co. lost against Tim Duncan and David Robinson, while the last return of the Pacers to the title was in 2000 when the Kobe and Shaq Lakers swept the Reggie Miller team – and we have a battle in good faith Hands.
So, yes, the issues are quite high, especially given the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference of seven games from last year that the Pacers won on the road to MSG after being down 2-0.

About the Knicks-Pacers series
In 2024, Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers returned from a 2-0 deficit to eliminate a Knicks club hampered in the semi-final of the Eastern Conference to win in seven games. A series later, they ended up being swept away the Mighty Celtics in the final of the Eastern Conference.
This year, the rivals met three times during the regular season.
To start 2024-25, the Knicks and the Pacers met in the first game of the season on October 25, 2024. After the defeat of the match crushing last year, New York arrived hot and won a 123-98 victory, overlapping Indiana 36-21 and 34-19 in the second and third quarters, respectively. Brunson scored 26 while Kat caught 15 plates.
Their second confrontation followed the Indiana when the shooter of the second channel Benédict Mathurin exploded for 38 points leading the Pacers to a convincing victory of 132-121 on November 10, 2024.
More recently, enemies clashed in Indianapolis on February 11 of this year. The Knicks left with a 128-115 victory behind an effort of 40 points from Karl-Anthony Towns and strong projections of Precious Backups Achiuwa and Cam Payne.
