How Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s Kids “Graduated” in Their Own Bedroom

New school year, new sleep plan.

Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard have been candid in the past about them and their daughters lincoln9 and Delta, 7, all sleeping in the same room. Now that the start of the school year is just around the corner, the actress shares that the family has changed their bedtime schedules.

“We just graduated sleeping on the floor on this trifold mattress,” she exclusively told E! News. News on July 22. “So you can congratulate me, we did it, they now sleep in their room on beds side by side and they hug each other instead of us.”

Kristen, 42, said she helped the little ones fall asleep on their own with Hello Bello Night Gums, which contain melatonin, so she and Dax, 47, could spend time good time with mom and dad.

“It would knock them out faster and they would be great and then we would connect,” she continued. “We don’t want to fall asleep when they want to fall asleep, so we’d plug our Bluetooth headphones into the TV, put on a show and they’d be on the floor like they were trying to fall asleep.”

She added, “So that’s how we avoided having to go to bed at the same time.”
