After sharing his diagnosis with the world, Tom said Ed quickly got in touch, writing: “Roughly from the time I was diagnosed Ed Sheeran offered to do whatever he wanted me to do. could help me.”
Tom explained that he had known Ed for over a decade after the “Bad Habits” singer “joined The Wanted on our tour bus on a promotional trip to America.”
He added: “We have always met over the years and had a great relationship.”
Following Tom’s death, Ed posted a poignant Instagram tribute to the singer on March 30.
“So sad to hear of Tom’s passing,” he wrote. “Thoughts and love go out to Kelsey, her children and her family. Very sad day, what a lovely guy x.”
