Caitlin Clark And Connor McCaffrey‘s relationship continues to be a breeze.
For the athlete’s WNBA debut with the Indiana Fever on May 14, her boyfriend celebrated by sharing a video of Caitlin entering the arena for the first time.
In the footage, Caitlin – who was the first overall pick in the WNBA draft and holds the NCAA record for leading scorer in Division I basketball – can be seen wearing an all-black ensemble and holding a handbag blue as she smiles at the camera.
And although much was expected of this big moment, the athlete herself was simply ready to perform.
“I’m just ready for the game,” Caitlin said in a video shared by Indiana Fever before the game. “No matter how it goes, good, bad, whatever. It’s a first for me. It’s a great learning opportunity. You only get your first WNBA game once, you so I better make the most of it and accumulate every match for just one second, because I will never have this opportunity again.”
Despite this career milestone, the 22-year-old’s WNBA debut was not a complete victory, as the Fever lost to the Connecticut Sun 92-71.
