Sunita Kejriwal created political repercussions by declaring that her husband Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would reveal the ‘truth’ about the ‘so-called’ liquor scam in Delhi on Thursday (March 28). In a brief video address posted on social media, she said the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which arrested the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader last week, conducted more than 200 searches but found nothing.
“Do they want to destroy Delhi? Do they want people to continue to suffer? Arvind Kejriwal is very saddened by this… As part of the so-called liquor scam, ED has carried out more than 250 raids. They are after the money from this so-called scam,” she said.
“They haven’t found anything yet… Arvind Kejriwal said he will reveal everything in court on March 28. He will reveal the whereabouts of the liquor scam money… He will also provide evidence,” the Delhi CM’s wife added.

This was the second time since Kejriwal’s arrest that his wife had come out of the shadows to make a public appearance.

Arvind Kejriwal’s wife returns to the spotlight
Sunita Kejriwal first gained attention on Saturday (March 23) when she read out a statement on behalf of her husband, who has been detained in the emergency room since March 21.
The AAP shared the video on its social networks. “My name is Sunita Kejriwal. I am Arvind Kejriwal’s wife. Your son, your brother sent you a message from prison,” she said at the start of her speech of more than three minutes.
“I want to appeal to all mothers and sisters: have confidence in your son and your brother. There is no prison that can keep your son and brother inside for too long. I will come out soon and keep my promises. Has there been any instance so far where Kejriwal has failed to deliver on any of his promises? Your son and your brother are made of steel. She also asked women in Delhi not to worry about continuing the Rs 1,000 monthly assistance package announced by the AAP government in February.

“There are several forces inside and outside India that are weakening the country. We must be vigilant, identify these forces and overcome them. The footage was not lost and people quickly noticed the background of the video with the portraits of Dr BR Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh. It was also flanked by the national flag on both sides. Who is Sunita Kejriwal?
Sunita Kejriwal is a 1993 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer. She met Kejriwal at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand during their training, according to The imprint.
The duo later got married. Sunita Kejriwal supported her husband throughout the years, even when he left his cushy income tax job to become an RTI activist and anti-corruption campaigner.
After more than two decades of service, she took voluntary retirement in 2016. Her last post was that of IT Commissioner at the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Delhi, reported Times of India (TOI).
“During her posting at the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Sunita, as an astute investigator, handled cases of several large companies,” said an AAP official close to Kejriwal’s family. YOU.
When Kejriwal launched his own political party – AAP – in 2012, his wife was by his side. She was present with her husband in the office when the party won 28 seats in its first elections in Delhi in 2013.

While the AAP maintained that Kejriwal would remain Delhi CM even behind bars, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the party, demanding his resignation.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday said the government “will not be thrown out of jail”.
As pressure mounts on AAP, it remains to be seen how long Kejriwal will remain as CM. The BJP has claimed that Sunita Kejriwal is “in the race” to succeed her husband.
The parallels with Rabri Devi who took over as CM in Bihar in 1997 after her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav was jailed in the fodder scam case were also discussed.
Reacting to Sunita Kejriwal’s speech on Wednesday, Union Minister Anurag Thakur hinted that she might remove a Rabri Devi. “When Lalu Prasad Yadav was caught in the fodder scam, Rabri Devi used to make announcements and later she gradually grabbed the chair.”

According to The imprint Reportedly, the AAP has deployed Sunita Kejriwal to make emotional speeches, particularly aimed at the party’s women voters, to take full advantage of what it sees as a “stupid decision by the BJP to get Kejriwal arrested”.
