‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 6 Preview Reveals More Dragons and New Targaryens

Dragon House Episode 5 ended with a game of thrones touchstone: a death during a marriage. A heartbroken and furious Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) lost his temper and beat Laenor Velaryon’s (Theo Nate) boytoy Joffrey Lonmouth (Solly McLeod) to death. As chaos erupted in the throne room, a Ser Harwin Strong (Ryan Corr) carried the young princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) to safety, so she could marry Laenor in a dark and subdued ceremony before what let it either go wrong. Elsewhere, young Alicent Hightower (Emily Carey) debuted a new look for the court – a Hightower battle green colored dress – and won Ser Criston to her side with mercy.

It was this week, but what will happen next week Dragon House Episode 6? A fucking lot!

To mark the time, the HBO show has recast the key roles of Rhaenrya, Alicent, Laenor and her sister Laena. John Macmillan replaces Theo Nate as Laenor Velaryon and Nanna Blondell replaces Savannah Steyn as Laena. Confused? Wait to meet the next generation of Aegons, Aemonds and Velaryons!

What’s in the Dragon House Trailer for episode 6?

The Dragon House The teaser for Episode 6 opens with a shot of Prince Daemon’s dragon Caraxes flying above the water, then immediately cuts to the small tip. A voice – sounding like Tyland Lannister of Jefferson Hall – says, “We should address the latest developments in the Stepstones, my lords.” Someone else wonders aloud where Daemon is. Then Alicent, who is now part of the Small Council (!), says: “That was ten years ago and he left the region defenceless.” Then Rhaenyra said, “We left him defenseless, my queen.”

An off-screen voice asks, “What are children if not a weakness?” as a young, silver-haired Targaryen gazes in awe at a dragon roaring against him. Then we cut to a tense training scene where an older Targaryen boy in green pushes a young, dark-haired boy in black. Ser Harwin Strong is there, looking worriedly at the older versions of his father and Viserys. The voice continues: “Through them, you imagine that you will persist forever.” We see a shot of an older Laena comforting her own child, then a dragon egg in an oven. Then there’s a shot of an Aegon tween in the yard and we hear Alice’s voice say, “You’ll be our king.”

One of Laena’s daughters pulls a dragon egg out of a fireplace cradle just before she sees Laena confronting Daemon. She says, “We are the blood of old Valyria,” as the trailer shows the pair of dragons riding together. Next we go to what could be the Dragonpit. A smaller dragon is led in chains. The voiceover goes on to say, “But for them you give up what you shouldn’t”, as we see Rhaenyra holding a baby next to a dark-haired boy.

The voice says, “A father compromised by the deeds of the son,” as we see a tense scene between Lord Lyonel Strong (Gavin Spokes), Viserys and Ser Harwin. We’ve narrowed the practice ground and a furious Ser Harwin is pulled away from hitting what appears to be Ser Criston Cole. We see the little dark-haired boys recoil in fear.

Alicent told Viserys: “Having a child like that is a mistake. Having three is an insult,” as we get shots of Rhaenyra’s white-skinned, dark-haired little boys. Lord Lyonel said to someone: “People have eyes. Rhaenyra cradles her baby in her arms. There’s a quick edit of Alicent, Larys Strong (Matthew Needham) and some guys in jail as Viserys says, “The consequences of an allegation like the one you’re playing would be disastrous.”

The final shot of the trailer is the older dark-haired boy excitedly saying “Dracarys” and the small, medium-sized dragon we’ve seen before responds by spitting fire.

Where do I pause the Dragon House Trailer for episode 6?

0:18: “What are children if not a weakness?” Hey, folks, meet Aemond Targaryen. He is the younger son of Alicent and Viserys and will become quite the character of the story as it goes. We know it’s Aemond because later in the teaser there’s an older version of Aegon (who gets the “you’ll be our king” line). In Fire & Blood, Aemond struggles to connect with a dragon early on, which leads him to try something extremely brave. Could it be this moment? Or just foreshadow what is to come?

0:33: “We are the blood of ancient Valyria.” The trailer not only confirms to her that Laena and Daemon are married (and that he is the father of her daughters), but that Laena will finally ride Vhagar. Come to think of it, this is our first shot of Vhagar!

0:45: “Having one child like that is a mistake. Having three is an insult. Hoo boy, so yeah, you know you’re constantly being told to keep an eye out for Ser Harwin and his crush on Rhaenyra? Well, that’s because ten years from now, all of Rhaenyra’s children will look suspiciously like Ser Harwin Strong. Court gossip says that none of Velaryon’s boys are the children of Laenor, but Ser Harwin’s. This could be disastrous for Rhaenyra.

0:58: “Dracarys”. Supposing Dragon House sticks with the names of the characters and the dragons of Fire & Blood, that kid is Jacaerys Velaryon, the eldest son and heir of Rhaenyra. He goes by Jace and his dragon is Vermax. Now, what’s interesting here is that while this kid doesn’t look like a Targaryen, he’s definitely dragon blood. If he wasn’t, he would have no way of convincing Vermax to take over his command.

What is the Dragon House Release date of episode 6 of season 1?

Dragon House Season 1 Episode 6 will air on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
