President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced late Saturday that they had reached an agreement in principle to raise the debt ceiling. House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told “Face the Nation” he expects his caucus to vote for the deal because it “protects” Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, veterans and the “American people”.
