The Trump administration announced on Monday that it had launched an investigation into California Immigrant species aid programA state program that offers monthly cash benefits to older, blind and disabled non-citizens who are not eligible for social security benefits because of their immigration status.
The investigation began in Los Angeles, with the internal security surveys of Immigration and Customs Drows of Los Angeles, issuing a summons to title 8 to the cash assistance program in California for immigrants, said the Ministry of Homeland Security in a press release.
According to the ministry, the assignment requests all the files of the Public Social Services of the County of Los Angeles, the agency which administers the program of the State, to determine if the inadmissible immigrants have received additional security income from the Social Security Administration over the past four years.
“Left radical politicians in California prioritize illegal foreigners on our own citizens, in particular by giving illegal foreigners access to cash benefits,” said Kristi Noem, home security secretary, in a statement.
“The Trump administration is working together to identify the abuses and exploitation of public advantages and ensure that those in this country do not receive federal advantages or other financial incentives to remain illegally,” added Noem. “If you are an illegal immigrant, you should leave now. The sauce train is over. Although this assignment focuses only on the County of Los Angeles – this is only the beginning.”
According to Homeland Security, its Los Angeles Investigations Office is to relax the files, including the name and date of birth of candidates, copies of requests, immigration status, proof of ineligibility in the advantages of the social security administration and the affidavits that supported the request.
The investigation comes after President Trump signed a Presidential memorandum On April 15, preventing immigrants from having no documentation from obtaining services from the Social Security Act in what he called an offer to stop encouraging illegal immigration and protecting taxpayers.
The memorandum has ordered the Secretary of Internal Security to ensure that unauthorized immigrants do not receive funds from social security programs and have given priority to civil or criminal application against states or localities for potential violations of title IV of the law on the reconciliation of personal responsibilities and work opportunities.
He also expanded the program of prosecutors of the fraud of the Social Security Administration to at least 50 American lawyers and created a Medicare and Medicaid Fraud-Procution program in 15 American lawyers.
This is a story in development and will be updated.
