New Orleans-The quarter-Arrière in New Orleans Holy DEREK Carr retires, the team announced on Saturday.
The team said Carr had undergone a labral tear and degenerative damage from the rotator headdress at their shoulder to launch straight.
“By reflecting prayer, and in discussion with (his wife) Heather, I decided to retire from the National Football League,” said Carr in a statement published by the team. “For more than 11 years, we have been incredibly blessed and we have been eternally grateful and humiliated by this experience. It is difficult to find the right words to express our thanks to all teammates, coaches, management, property, team managers and especially fans who have made this special trip. Your unwavering support has mean the world for us.”
Carr’s retirement occurs after the saints has drafted the quarter-Arrière Tyler Shough with their second round choice this year.
