His collection to send Hénaff pâté to Ukrainian sailors is a hit! – Brittany

Launched on Wednesday March 15 at 4 p.m., the online collection aimed to raise the sum of €6,000 in 20 days. It only took a few hours to collect this amount. Three days later, the counter has literally exploded since already more than €14,000 has been collected! Nearly 500 contributors have come forward. Its initiator, Stéphane Audrand, did not think he would create such a craze. His idea: to support the Ukrainian navy by sending pallets of Hénaff pâté to the front.

It’s a real cuddly toy for all sailors and particularly those who take the watch at night, ”explains this reserve officer of the French Navy. “It’s a small gesture of solidarity, a little piece of France that I want to share with our Ukrainian friends,” he adds.

The man, who lives in Burgundy, organizes this collection? in partnership with the Jean Hénaff Group based in Pouldreuzic (29). “The company was immediately reactive and followed me. It even offers a preferential rate and manages the first part of the transport to a logistics platform,” says Stéphane Audrand. The latter sees through Hénaff the “vibrant symbol of French agriculture” which manufactures “a product apart, both popular and of quality”.

Since the online collection, everything is going very quickly. Stéphane Audrand has just been contacted by an NGO (non-governmental organization) which will take charge of shipping the goods from France to the Slovakian border. How many pallets? Hard to say. Stéphane Audrand hopes to ship six pallets. “I opted for classic 154 g cans, the best logistical compromise. Each pallet costs around €6,000. They are made up of about 3,000 boxes that will feed as many soldiers. The needs are immense. Only one thing is certain: the more people there are to give, the lower the cost per box will be,” explains the international risk consultant who works in conjunction with the Ukrainian Embassy in France. The ideal? “It would be to fill a semi-trailer that can hold 33 pallets,” hopes Stéphane Audrand. Collection continues until April 4.
