Hezbollah fired a Burkan rocket at Israel on Saturday, which hit and caused significant destruction of buildings and military infrastructure in the north, Israeli media reported.
A Burkan rocket carries hundreds of kilograms of explosive material and a combat warhead capable of operating within a radius of 1.5 to 5 kilometers, walla note.
Shortly after rocket sirens sounded Saturday morning in the northern Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona, Israeli media shared images of damage allegedly caused by the rocket impact.
Later, the IDF confirmed that two projectiles had been identified coming from Lebanon towards Israeli territory towards the Kiryat Shmona area.

The army noted that no injuries were caused by the projectiles crossing into Israel.
Later, Walla reported that Hezbollah had taken responsibility for the attack. The Lebanon-based terrorist organization reportedly claimed to have targeted the Givor camp in Kiryat Shmona.
Two Hezbollah terrorists eliminated
The Israeli military added that earlier in the day it had identified two Hezbollah terrorists operating in the Majdal Selm area.

In footage shared by the military, an Israeli military plane then struck the two agents.
A drone shot down by a surface-to-air missile
The Israeli military, in an update on Saturday afternoon, confirmed that a surface-to-air missile was fired at an IAF drone operating in Lebanese airspace. The drone was hit and fell into Lebanese territory.
The Israeli military is currently examining the downed drone.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the missile, which the IDF has not confirmed.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it shot down a Hermes 900 drone in solidarity with Gaza.
A video posted online appeared to show a plane the size of a Hermes, on fire and spinning toward the earth.
