Here’s how people ring the year of the snake: NPR

All over the world, people start the Lunar New Year by offering the Dragon Farewell and welcoming the year of the snake.

It is a global celebration that extends over the countries, and nearly 2 billion participants, who will dance, eat and meet to maintain the traditions that focus on receiving a new year with their best foot in Before.

As NPR readers shared it, there are many rituals that families continue year after year to guarantee good luck, good fortune and prosperity such as cleaning their homes, haircut and, of course, eating Lots of good food.

For many, it’s time to think about the people they have lost, but it’s also time to define the intentions and welcome the new energy of the future.
