Here’s Apple’s Most Popular Service in 2024

As iPhone sales slow, Apple’s services are becoming increasingly important to the company’s revenue. Looking at the company’s most popular offerings, CIRP has released a report revealing which services Apple customers are using.

In 2023, Apple announced that it had surpassed 1 billion paid subscriptions with over 2 billion active customer devices. But what exactly are these subscriptions?

CIRP has already studied this issue and today releases a new report showing how demand for Apple’s services has changed.

In 2024, paid iCloud upgrades are the most popular service, with 64% of Apple users having the service. That’s up from 60% in 2022.

Apple Music ranks second with 42% of Apple users subscribing, up from 36% in 2022.

Apple Podcast, AppleCare and Apple TV(+?) come in close behind with 37, 35 and 32% adoption.

In its fiscal third quarter, Apple reported an impressive $24.21 billion in services revenue, up 14% year over year.

Even as our iPhones and iPads have gotten more powerful, Apple has never increased the free 5GB iCloud storage tier. That means almost anyone who wants to store backups or other data with the service has to upgrade to a paid account.

Which of these Apple services do you find useful? Share your thoughts in the comments!
