As the Patriots begin a new era, first-year head coach Jerod Mayo officially learned who his team will face in Week 1 with the release of the NFL schedule Wednesday night.

The Patriots’ 2024 schedule begins with a Week 1 trip on Sept. 8 to Cincinnati to face the Bengals at 1 p.m. The home opener is scheduled for September 15 against the Seahawks at 1 p.m.

Here is the rest of the Patriots 2024 schedule:

Notable matchups include the Week 4 road game in San Francisco against the defending NFC champion 49ers (4:05 p.m. kickoff) and a Week 6 test against the Offensive Rookie of the Year 2023 CJ Stroud and the Texans at Gillette Stadium on October 13. (1:00 p.m.)

The Patriots’ first game in the AFC East is September 19 in Week 3 against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets at MetLife Stadium. The match will take place Thursday evening at 8:15 p.m.

A Patriots game had already been revealed earlier Wednesday. For the third time in team history (but the first since 2012), the Patriots will play in London. New England will return to its namesake for an Oct. 20 clash against former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones and the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, with kickoff set for the usually early end of a game based in Europe (9:30 a.m.).

The Patriots begin the 2024 season charting a new path following the departure of Bill Belichick. The 4-13 record in 2023 has left New England in the midst of a rebuild. Jones, the 15th overall pick in 2021 (and former Patriots starting quarterback), was dealt to Jacksonville to be Trevor Lawrence’s backup.

After clearing the roster, Mayo and Patriots executive vice president Eliot Wolf opted to select quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. As New England fans look at the 2024 schedule, they can only wonder when Maye could make his NFL debut.
