Heidi Montag Tops iTunes Chart After Losing Home in Los Angeles Wildfires

Reality TV star Heidi Montag The 2010 album “Superficial” reached No. 1 on the iTunes all-genre song and album charts – 15 years after its release and just after Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt lost their home in 2010. the fire of the palisades.

Representatives for Montag and Pratt did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

“Superficial” saw some of its biggest gains at Apple Music Also. Saturday was Montag’s biggest streaming day in Apple Music history, up nearly 600% from the previous Saturday, an Apple Music representative confirmed to the Associated Press.

On Sunday, the album re-entered Apple Music’s pop albums chart in 17 countries. It reached the chart for the first time in six countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. In the United States, it peaked at number 9. It also re-entered Apple Music’s all-genre albums chart in seven countries, including the United States for the first time, where it reached No. 65.

Montag was already a cast member on “The Hills,” which debuted in 2006, when she met Pratt, who joined the MTV reality show for its second season. The couple — particularly Pratt — leaned into their on-screen personas as spotlight-seeking villains, even publishing a book, “How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Acting in the Press and becoming a tabloid staple,” in 2009, the same year they married.

Nicknamed “Speidi” by the press, they were tabloid regulars known for seeking entertainment opportunities of all kinds. Music was one of Montag’s many activities.

After the final episode of “The Hills” aired in 2010, the couple’s fame declined. In the years since, they have turned to social media to keep their loyal followers up to date on their lives.
