The duo of Barcelona Pedri and Lamine Yamal tasted defeat on Sunday evening while Spain was beaten by Portugal in the final of the League of Nations during a penalty shot.
Spain had opened the scoring at 21 minutes by Martin Zubimendi. Careful football ended with Yamal placing the ball in the box, and he finally fell in Zubimenddi to block at close range.
However, Spain celebrations were short -lived while Portugal struck five minutes later. Nuno Mendes accumulated the match with a thin low strike which crossed the goal and at the back of the net.
With the game towards half-time, Spain managed to restore its advance after a big race in front of Pedri. The Barça star led to Portugal and then produced a wonderful ball for Mikel Oyarzabal to pass in front of Diogo Costa and make 2-1.

Bruno Fernandes then had the ball at the back of the net at the start of the second half, but saw it forbidden for the offside. However, Portugal managed to level up at a time when Cristiano Ronaldo struck the divert cross of Home Nuno Mendes at close range.
The two parties made late changes and went for the victory, Luis de la Fuente taking off Pedri who appreciated another catchy performance for Spain.

The Spanish replacement Isco had the best chances of the fence phases when he tested Costa with a curling shot that the goalkeeper switched to the bar while the match ended 2-2 and entered the overtime.
