Ann Arbor – The Michigan football team concluded its spring cycle with its annual melee at The Big House on Saturday, with the “Blue” Blanking Team “Maize” team 17-0.
Although the issues were not as high in Michigan Stadium as this fall, on Saturday was the first time that Wolverines played in front of an audience in 2025.
Second-year coach Sherrone Moore and a handful of players spoke to the media after Saturday’s spring match. Here are the strengths:
Moore on if you take deeper shots in the spring game, an indication of things to come this fall: “This is part of the reason for which I brought (offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey). It’s fun. We have created photos and created different pass concepts to help us, and we will continue to do so. It is not as if the offensive was just assembled at the moment. It is a structure for the evaluation and the receivers that have done better.
Ball carrier Jordan Marshall, who only played at the first quarter, on his dishes to take away spring training this year: “I think we are much more physical than last year. It is a physical group of cats who want to hit you in your mouth, and each game, nobody tries to bite your ankle, nobody tries to do all cute things. They try to hit you. I think that is what we learned in the camp, that it is a physical group. Something special.
Moore on intensifying defensive players after losing several key guys from last year: “You just talk about the whole defensive line, I have the impression that there are 10 guys who can play.
“The guy who stood out today was Dom Nichols. Every day, he tries to find ways to block it as well as TJ Guy and Derrick (Moore) and Cam Brandt. At the front, it’s Tre (Williams), it’s Rayshaun Benny, it’s Ike (iwunnah), it’s Trey Pierce, he is doing them.
Marshall on what is the most impressive about the first year five-year-old Bryce Underwood quarterrier, which finished 12 of the 26 passes for 187 yards, a touchdown and an interception, including a score of 88 yards on a game of tricks to Jalen Hoffman during the game’s final game: “I think she is a generational athlete. It’s a monster. He can do everything he puts his mind. I think you want to have this boastful in the quarter. I appreciate having someone like that, even with justice, they all have this boastful. Just to be with these guys and guys sharing the same ideas, it’s going to be scary this year. ”
Michigan’s ball carrier, judge Haynes, Junior Bryson Kuzdzal, a former recruit of two stars with zero career career which had a top of 105 yards on the ground on 14 attempts: “He is a hard worker, a big child, a phenomenal teammate. I love being with “Kuz”. I love this whole room, but Kuz will be a baller.
Moore on the five starting offensive line players after the spring ball: “I don’t know. We have circulated the guys through, to know that we are going to go to the fall camp and have the start of five at a given time. There is not really a solid start to five years. I know Gio El-Hadi would be a starter. (Greg Crippen) would probably be a starter and Andrew Sprague. Then be Evan Link in different places.
The senior defensive platform Rayshaun Benny, who dismissed the five -star recruit Bryce Underwood during the first game of the game, on his evaluation of the Wolverines entering the summer: “I think the team is in a very good place. We finished healthy, we finished hard, we finished quickly and everyone played hard. Even the young guys who are fresh, they entered and then played expectations.”
Moore on Hoffman, a tight junior end with zero career capture which had seven for 148 yards in the spring: “Jalen really took his game, and he really changed his body, does different things. I think he is about 245, 250 pounds and a super athletic child with very big skills and hands. He’s a guy that we are really looking forward to looking in the season.”
