“He will raise his hand” – Prince Naseem Hamed gives his Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk prediction

Boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed believes Tyson Fury will beat Oleksandr Usyk on points.

Fury and Usyk will meet on May 18 to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time since Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield in 1999.

This is the first time that a recognized world title has been put on the line in the four-belt era.

Fury is the reigning WBC champion, while Usyk holds the IBF, WBA and WBO titles after two victories over Anthony Joshua.

Many believe that the “Gypsy King” possesses a significant physical advantage due to his superior size and reach.

Usyk is one of the most skilled pound-for-pound fighters in the world, but the former cruiserweight is six inches shorter than his opponent and could be 50 pounds lighter.

Former lineal featherweight champion Prince Naseem believes Fury will be guaranteed a victory if the fight goes the distance.

“I hope Tyson Fury wins this fight on points,” Prince Naseem told Drivetime on talkSPORT.

“I believe if he gets up in the 12th round, he will raise his hand no matter what happens.

“I think it’s going to be a tough fight. All I want him to do is get up.

“Stand up at the end of the 12th round and, God willing, it should be a points win for him (Fury).”

However, Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk believes the Ukrainian has his own attributes that will make him a nightmare for the Briton.

Heavyweight star Anthony Joshua gives his prediction for the highly anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

“I can tell you about Usyk’s secret weapon, the only problem is it’s not a secret,” Krassyuk recently told Sky Sports.

“His weapon is his mind, his heart, his experience and his boxing skills.

“And the main thing that differentiates him from Tyson Fury is his discipline.

“That’s what makes him great and it’s his most powerful weapon.”
