Photos uploaded to his social media earlier this week showed Fury with abs while his father, John Fury, claimed his son was coming in at the lightest weight of his career.

As Fury made his way to the grand arrivals stage on Tuesday, Usyk, who was watching his opponent walk from the balcony above, could be heard saying: “He looks skinny.”

For his part, the Ukrainian’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, said: “He looks skinny, so who is the middleweight now?

“It’s because he’s nervous, when you get nervous you lose weight or gain weight like his mother.”

However, “The Gypsy King” claims that her weight is not below normal.

“I’ll tell you my weight. I weigh about 19 stone (266 pounds). I weigh about 19 stone or so,” he told DAZN.

“I’m in good shape, I’ve done two or three consecutive camps.

“People say I look skinny, but I’ve weighed the same on my scale for ten years.”

In recent years, Fury’s fighting weight has fluctuated between 260 pounds and 277 pounds.

The lowest he has ever been on the scale is 245.5 pounds for his fight with Vinny Maddalone in 2012.

Meanwhile, last time out he tipped the scales at a career-heaviest 277.7 pounds for his crossover clash with Francis Ngannou.

But if Fury’s estimates are correct, he will be at roughly the same weight for his next contest as in his previous two outings against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora ​​in 2022.

“It’s hard to know what’s going to happen on Saturday night,” Fury said when asked about his expectations for fight night.

“It’s well known that I don’t really have a plan until I get there.

“I’ve fought every style before, orthodox, southpaw, tall, short, fat, skinny, puncher, non-puncher and I’ve fought them all.
