‘He deserves respect’ – Simon Jordan admires Anthony Joshua’s confrontation with ‘kids who don’t swallow’ who taunted him about ‘glass jaw’ and Tyson Fury fight

Simon Jordan has passionately defended Anthony Joshua for confronting some university students after being taunted by them.

The former two-time heavyweight champion was heckled by his ‘glass jaw’ at Loughborough.

But instead of ignoring the taunts, AJ decided to confront the group.

“When your jaws start to break and people start kicking you out of this college, none of you are going to like it,” he told them.

“Watch your mouths because you don’t know who you’re talking to sometimes. I know, look, all this public eye bulls***, I’m not into any of this.

Joshua has been training at Loughborough as he prepares to face Oleksandr Usyk for the second time this summer and hopefully become a three-time world champion.

Jordan has criticized Joshua before, but he admires the former champion’s stance on this occasion.

The seemingly drunk students changed their tune as the heavyweight stood in front of them and talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan, speaking on White and Jordan, thinks it’s a valuable life lesson for them.

“I think he’s absolutely right,” he began.

“I think there are kids in this society who think they can say things on social media, run precisely what they want and they can replicate that in society.

“That’s why you have these idiots running around football pitches and young kids hanging from crossbars breaking football goals – because they think they can do it.

Jordan thinks the students needed a dose of reality

“Anthony Joshua taught them a life lesson. He told those kids that you can’t say what you want to say to people. You can’t just say those things without being responsible for them.

“Can you imagine these snotty little kids taunting you through the window and the former heavyweight champion of the world standing in front of you and saying, wait a second, you’re going to say that to the wrong person one day and that person is going to tell you show what a glass jaw looks like,” Jordan explained.

“Whatever I think of Anthony Joshua as the legitimate heavyweight champion of the world, he deserves respect.

“Joshua walks up to him and my first reaction was ‘oh, I don’t know.’ And then my second reaction when I bothered to watch it and go deep was actually, I agree with Joshua.

“He has earned the right to respect. He was an incredible leader in British boxing. However, I consider him a fighter, he won the world heavyweight championship twice. He is a leading figure in British sport.

With several fan incidents over the past few weeks on football pitches, Jordan admires Joshua’s stance on the matter and believes student behavior is a very good reflection of today’s society.

Jordan thinks AJ will have taught these students a valuable lesson

“I think it’s an amazing life lesson,” Jordan added.

“They might remember that particular situation where a former heavyweight champion of the world said ‘watch what you’re saying and who you think you’re saying it to. You’re not sitting in your mother’s room with your pants around your ankles and being rude to famous people, you have the real deal in front of you.

“I admire him for doing it.”
