‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ Sells Over $65,000 in Merchandise Amid Viral Fame

The young woman who became famous as “Hawk Tuah Girl” thanks to an X-rated interview has already sold more than $65,000 worth of merchandise.

Hailey Welch went viral earlier this month when she shared her explicit thoughts about oral sex during a Woman on the Street spot with Tim & Dee TV – and is now selling designer hats through from Tennessee-based clothing company Fathead Threads, according to the company’s social media channels.

The brand has already sold more than 2,000 “Hawk Tuah ’24” hats, owner Jason Poteete told Rolling Stone.

At $32.78 per hat – plus $50 for an out-of-print signed version – the total comes to at least $65,000.

“Of course she didn’t get a cent from the first viral video that came out,” Poette said of Welch, whom he claims to have known for years.

“No one asked him for permission to do nothing either. I just wanted her to make a profit from this deal,” he said.

Welch is “overwhelmed” by her newfound fame and has asked Poteete not to disclose any personal information about her or feature her face on the product, the owner said.

“Our largest orders are generally for 100 hats, or even 150 to 250 shirts. This is very unusual for us,” Poteete said. “It’s a small family store. We’re all hands on deck right now.

He declined to say what percentage of profits Welch receives.

Welch — who was initially rumored to have been signed by Hollywood’s United Talent Agency — is also working to trademark her now-infamous phrase, he said.

“There are crazy people in the world who have contacted her,” he said. “She’s probably one of the most famous people in the world right now. But I don’t know if she’s adopted it.
