Have the Lions built the NFL’s richest offense?

St. Brown became one of the NFL’s top receivers, Montgomery had the best season of his career, and Gibbs and LaPorta found instant success after dynamic rookie performances.

If Jameson Williams realizes his potential in the first round, Detroit could have another game-changing option available to Jared Goff and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

The Lions’ offense has been a top-five unit for back-to-back seasons, so maybe the best is yet to come.

Detroit created an unforgettable campaign in 2023, winning its first-ever NFC North title before an NFC title game in which the club posted two playoff victories – doubling its previous playoff win total since 1957.

Much of that Motown magic was due to Detroit’s dynamic attack.

Can these new age Lions keep cooking? During the offseason, the focus was on improving Detroit’s defense, but the offense that sparked the team’s renaissance needs to maintain its power, if not improve.

Last season, Goff said the Lions had a lot of great players on their team, but they didn’t get enough attention. Now, it’s getting harder to ignore the Lions.

Power is a big thing in the Motor City, and the Lions have plenty of it on offense. Whether Goff and his teammates keep their foot on the gas in 2024 could determine whether the Lions are one-year wonders or remain the kings of the NFC North and contenders to reach the franchise’s first Super Bowl.
