Harvard protesters replace American flag with Palestinian one as anti-Israel protests intensify across the country

Anti-Israel protesters at Harvard University waved a Palestinian flag in front of the Ivy League school, in a spot usually reserved for the American flag, as protests on campus continue to spiral out of control.

The Crimson said the Harvard statue’s flagpole usually flies the American flag, but the flags of visiting foreign dignitaries are also displayed when they visit campus.

The outlet said no American flags were flying at the time of Saturday’s incident and that the Stars and Stripes are typically raised at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and lowered at 4 p.m. “for proper storage.”

The installation of the Palestinian flag took place as anti-Israeli students camped on the school grounds chanted and cheered “Free, free Palestine” and “We flay for Palestine.”
