Harry Kane equals his personal best with 41st goal of the season for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has equaled his personal record for goals which he set in the 2017/18 season.

The 30-year-old scored his 41st goal in all competitions just nine minutes into Saturday afternoon’s clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Kane was on hand to score from a few yards out to make it 34 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

The England skipper has been nothing short of sensational since joining Bayern from Tottenham last summer in a deal worth more than £100 million.

With 41 goals in total, Kane tied his best single-season goal tally from six years ago.

It was Spurs’ first season at Wembley, with Kane’s 41 goals and five assists in 48 outings.

Kane has already reached this total in six fewer games, while also providing 13 assists for his teammates.

His latest goal also saw Kane score against 16 of the 17 Bundesliga teams he has faced since his move to the Allianz Arena.

This is a joint record in Bundesliga history with Gerd Muller, Ailton and Robert Lewandowski.

Only Freiburg managed to prevent Kane from getting on the scoresheet in their two meetings.

It has been a year of record achievements for Kane, who scored the most hat-tricks (four) of any player in their debut season in the Bundesliga.

He is also the first footballer to score two or more goals in eight different matches during his debut campaign in the German top flight.

Additionally, no other player has scored more than Kane during his first Bundesliga tenure.

With just three games remaining, Kane needs to score seven more times if he is to equal Lewandowski’s record of 41 Bundesliga goals in a single season.
