Indian hockey stars Harmanpreet Singh and Savita Punia were honored as a player of the year in the male and women at annual India hockey prices. The Seventh Hockey India Annual Awards were held to commemorate 100 years of Indian hockey and also to celebrate the victory of the country Cup in 1975 in Kuala Lumpur.

The captain of India Harmanpreet Singh and the senior goalkeeper Savita Punia Punia won the prize for the senior player of the year of hockey India Balbir Singh in the male and female categories respectively.
Harmanpreet led India to its second sunbathing medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was also part of the Tokyo Games Bronze Medal Medal team.
Savita was a member of the Indian team who was close to winning a bronze at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The team had lost the third match against Great Britain.
It was a double celebration for Savita because she also won the goalkeeper prize for the year of Hockey India Baljit Singh for 2024.
“I am really honored to receive the awards, but that would not have been possible without my teammates. I am really grateful for recognition and it will continue to motivate me to my game,” said Savita in a video message.
It was the third time that Savita has won the award.
“This price means a lot, it is a motivation for young people to work hard for their goals and to succeed in life. It is really a special day for all of us,” said Harmanpreet.

The 1975 male team, winner of the World Cup, was conferred at the life price of the Major of Hockey in India Dhyan.
Abhishek won the prize before the year while Hhelik Singh was appointed midfielder of the year. The price for the best defender of the year was awarded to Amit Rohidas.
Araijeet Singh Hundal won the player of the year Jugraj Singh (under the age of 21), while Deepika has bad the price of the player of the year in the female category of under 21.
The Gala event was followed by former sports minister Kiren Rijiju, president of Hockey India, Dilip Tirkey, the secretary general of Hi Bhola Nath Singh, among others.
