Hansi Flick and Jagoba Arrasate were both full of praise for Pedri after Barcelona beat the real Mallorca 1-0 at La Liga on Tuesday evening.
Dani Olmo scored the winner for the hosts, but it was Pedri who returned home with the MVP price after another catchy display.
Arrasate admitted that he has not seen anything like Canary Island for some time.
“When you watch Pedri … you appreciate him on television, but you suffer on the field. He is at an incredible level. I have not seen a midfielder like him for a very long time,” he told journalists.
Flick was also full of praise for his midfielder after another masterclass.
“It is difficult to say what are the limits of Pedri. He is at the top of his game right now,” he said.
“Not only on the ball, but also when he doesn’t have it. He helps us a lot in this defensive aspect, and everyone knows how good he is.”
The victory means that Barcelona is now clear of seven points at the Liga summit and only five games remain to play.
